The company
Money
Real double-entry books inside the appliance: chart of accounts, journals, periods, receivables and payables, bank import and a VAT return preview — with invoices posting straight to the ledger.
The ledger
Control ships a full UK double-entry ledger, seeded with a standard chart of accounts on install. Journals balance or they don't post; periods open and close; AR and AP age from real entries.
From deal to filed accounts
The point is not any single feature but the absence of seams: a won deal becomes a customer, the customer gets an invoice, the invoice posts to AR and the ledger in one act, the bank import matches the payment, and the VAT preview reads the result. Nothing is re-typed between tools, because there is only one tool.
Numbers you can stand behind
Honesty over reach
A Control principle that shows up here first: a stat that reads from a stub is the same class of bug as a false pricing line. Every number on the finance surfaces reads from the ledger — there are no decorative metrics.
